Preschool levels are based on your child's age and confidence in the water. Our teachers monitor each swimmer's progress during lessons and support them as they develop their skills and confidence.
Starting preschool swimming lessons is an exciting step. Here are some of the questions parents ask us most often.
How do I know which preschool level is right for my child?Preschool levels are based on your child's age and confidence in the water. If you're unsure which class is right for your child, our friendly team can help you choose a suitable class. | Does my child swim without a parent?Yes. Preschool children take part independently with our experienced teachers, who provide encouragement and support throughout each lesson. | What if my child is nervous?That's completely normal. Our teachers create a calm and welcoming environment, giving children time to settle in and build confidence at their own pace. |
What should my child bring?Please bring swimwear, a towel, a swimming cap and goggles if your child is comfortable wearing them. | How long are the lessons?Lessons are planned to keep preschool children engaged while giving them plenty of time to practise new skills, build confidence and enjoy being in the water. | What if my child is new to swimming lessons?That's absolutely fine. Our teachers work with children at different stages and help them become comfortable in the water while building their swimming skills and confidence. |
What happens after preschool?As your child becomes more confident and develops their swimming skills, they'll be ready to progress into our School Age Learn to Swim program. | What if my child misses a lesson?If your child is unwell and can't make their lesson, please let us know through the iClassPro Parent Portal or give us a call on (03) 9434 4516. Where possible, we'll help you arrange a make-up lesson during the same term. | Can we arrange a make-up lesson?Yes. Up to two make-up lessons may be arranged each term for illness, subject to availability. We'll do our best to find a suitable time during the same term. |
What if our plans change?If you need to cancel your enrolment, just let us know in writing before the new term begins. We'll help you through the cancellation process and explain any applicable fees. |
