Terms and Conditions of Enrolment
These Terms and Conditions apply to all enrolments at Yarra Swim School. By submitting an enrolment and attending lessons, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the following conditions.
1. Enrolment
Submitting an enrolment form is an enquiry only. A place in a class is confirmed once enrolment has been accepted by Yarra Swim School and all applicable fees have been paid in full. If an assessment is required, our team will contact you to arrange a suitable time.
2. Re-enrolment
- Current students are automatically offered their place for the following term unless we are advised otherwise.
- Outstanding fees may result in a class position being released.
- A new enrolment form may be required each calendar year.
- Class times may occasionally change during the rollover process.
3. Lesson Changes
Requests to change classes will be accommodated where possible but are subject to availability.
4. Fees and Payments
- Term fees must be paid before lessons commence.
- Students enrolling after the start of term must pay before attending their first lesson.
- Accepted payment methods are available through our office.
5. Family Discount
A 10% discount applies to the term fees of the third child enrolled from the same family.
6. Cancellations
Written notice received at least seven working days before the start of term is required to cancel an enrolment without penalty. Cancellations received after this time but before the term commences may incur a $20 administration fee. Once the term has commenced, these conditions apply for the duration of the enrolment.
7. Refunds and Credits
Refunds are only available for medical reasons and require a valid medical certificate covering the missed lesson dates. A $20 administration fee applies to refunds. Credits or transfers to another term are available and do not incur the administration fee.
If Yarra Swim School cancels a lesson, a credit will be applied to the family account.
8. Missed Lessons and Make-up Classes
Class positions are reserved for each swimmer for the duration of the term. Missed lessons are not refundable.
- Up to two make-up lessons are available each term, subject to availability.
- Parent and Infant classes are also entitled to two make-up lessons.
- Make-up lessons must be completed within the same term.
- Make-up lessons cannot be booked before the original lesson has been missed.
- Families must notify Yarra Swim School if their child will be absent.
9. Public Holidays and School Holidays
Lessons do not operate on public holidays or during scheduled term breaks unless otherwise advised.
10. Swimming Attire
Children who are not fully toilet trained must wear an approved aqua nappy. Goggles are recommended but are not compulsory.
11. Teachers and Class Changes
Yarra Swim School reserves the right to change class times, instructors or lesson arrangements where necessary. If a lesson is cancelled by Yarra Swim School, a credit will be applied where appropriate.
12. Attendance and Supervision
- All swimmers must check in at reception before each lesson.
- Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian while at the facility.
- Parents or guardians must collect children immediately after lessons.
- School-age swimmers are required to use the appropriate change rooms.
13. Photography and Video
Families are welcome to capture special moments during lessons while respecting the privacy of others.
- Do not photograph or film other children without permission.
- Mobile phones and cameras must never be used in change rooms or shower areas.
- Yarra Swim School staff may request that photography or filming cease if privacy concerns arise.
Yarra Swim School may capture photographs or videos for promotional purposes. If you do not wish your child to appear in promotional material, please notify our team.
